Cougars get past Devils; Jackets topple Bobcats

Southview 49, Springfield 41

The Cougars (2-0, 1-0 NLL) bolted to a 19-3 lead after the first quarter but the Blue Devils (1-1, 0-1) bounded back with a 22-point quarter to trail 27-25 Friday night in Northern Lakes League girls basketball.

Lexi Lopez led the balanced attack for Southview with 12 points.

Chelsea Haas paced Springfield with 12.

Perrysburg 52, Bowling Green 41

BOWLING GREEN -- The Yellow Jackets used a strong fourth-quarter performance to come away with the win.

Perrysburg held a 17-8 advantage in the final period, while converting 8 of 12 foul shots.

Becca Tudor scored 13 points, Kelsea Newman 11, and Taylor Knight 10 for the Yellow Jackets.

Jenna Stoner paced the Bobcats with 12 points.

Northview 83, Anthony Wayne 41

Miriam Justinger and J.J. Jennings lead the way for Northview with 20 and 16 points, respectively. Kendall McCoy added 11.

Sara Zankl and Aisha Tyre each scored 11 to lead the Generals.

Napoleon 37, Maumee 33

Taylor Miller scored 10 points to lead the visiting Wildcats.

Kayla Thomasson led Maumee with 13 points.
