Vikings outduel Indians; Streaks dominate Tigers

Evergreen 48, Wauseon 39

METAMORA -- Wauseon jumped out to a 21-10 lead, but Evergreen fought back and won with a 19-8 fourth quarter Friday night in Northwest Ohio Athletic League girls basketball.

Lauren Langenderfer scored 26 points for the Vikings (2-0, 1-0 NWOAL). Brittany Herr contributed 11.

Annette Stidham had 11 for the Indians (1-2, 0-1) while Bailey Creager scored 10.

Archbold 54, Liberty Center 24

LIBERTY CENTER -- The Blue Streaks (3-0, 1-0) built a 32-14 lead to cruise to their first league victory of the season.

Abby Short paced a balanced Archbold attack with 11 points and nine rebounds while Mindy Rupp added 10 points.

Archbold forced 26 turnovers in the win while out-rebounding Liberty Center 48-21.

The Tigers (0-3, 0-1) were led by Christina Winterfeld's 11 points.

Delta 47, Patrick Henry 34

HAMLER -- Delta's Alexa Salsbury had 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Panthers. Brigan Wymer added 12 points.

Kelsey Tietje paced Patrick Henry (1-1, 0-1) with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
