Tiffin call center to close, 120 employees to be cut

TIFFIN — PCCW Teleservices has informed the Office of Workforce Development in Columbus that its call center at the Tiffin Mall is to close sometime between March 20 and April 3 and more than 120 employees will be laid off.

The letter said seven of the center’s 128 employees might be offered opportunities to work at home or at another location. The company’s Web site lists five other U.S. facilities, including Dublin and New Philadelphia, Ohio, as well as several locations in Asia.

PCCW has headquarters in Hong Kong and Dublin, Ohio.
