The Owens Community College women's basketball team held on for a 71-68 overtime victory over Sinclair Saturday to keep a firm grip on second place in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference.
Aja Hall scored 21 points for the Express, including two key free throws with 1:48 left in overtime to extend Owens' lead to 69-66.
Kieona Foster had 13 points for Owens (23-4, 8-1 OCCAC), while Uniqua Mitchell had 12. Karahn Scott had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Katie Von Lehmden scored a game-high 23 points for the Tartan Pride (13-8, 4-3), while Brandi McDaniel had 18 points.

Justin Edmonds scored a game-high 32 points to help lead the host Express past the Tartan Pride.
Jordan Basinger had 14 points and 15 rebounds, and Jerron Jamerson had 10 points and 12 rebounds for Owens (18-9, 5-4 OCCAC).
Jabriel Coaston led Sinclair (13-11, 1-6) with 18 points, while Charlie Byers and Aaron Valerio both scored 17. Gavin Schumann had 12 points and Anthony Metzler 11.
