Sandusky County agrees to buy airport facilities for $1.5M

FREMONT -- Sandusky County commissioners Thursday approved the purchase of two hangars and the fuel facilities at the Sandusky County Regional Airport.

The county will pay Advanced Air, the former fixed-base operator at the airport, $1.5 million for the facilities.

Advanced Air has been managing the airport under a contract with the airport authority since 2005. The airport authority will hire a manager to run the county-owned airport, which is on County Road 220.
