Notes: The Rockets close the regular season by hosting the Eagles, who claimed the MAC West Division title with a win at Western Michigan Wednesday. … While UT leads the overall series, EMU has won the last six in a row, including a 41-38 victory Jan. 21 in Ypsilanti, Mich. … Toledo likely will be the seventh seed in the MAC tournament, but could fall to eighth with a loss and a Western Michigan win over CMU. … Eastern Michigan needs a win to keep alive its hopes for a tournament bye, although the Eagles need some help to make that happen. … EMU ranks 12th among Division I schools in scoring defense, allowing just 58.2 points per game, but only two schools nationally average fewer points than the Eagles' 53.4 points per contest. … Senior G Darrell Lampley leads Eastern Michigan in scoring (13.3), but no other Eagles averages more than 7.2 points per game. … By comparison, the Rockets have five players scoring 9.0 ppg or higher: Sophomore G Rian Pearson (16.1), junior G Curtis Dennis (12.6), freshman G Julius Brown (12.2), junior G Dominique Buckley (10.1) and sophomore F Matt Smith (9.0 ppg).

Notes: The Falcons look to finish the regular season with a third straight victory when they take on the Bulls, who earned a 68-66 win at the Stroh Center Jan. 21. … BG has won two of the last three meetings in Alumni Arena, including a 74-71 victory in double overtime last season. … The Falcons probably will be the sixth seed in the MAC tournament; they need a win and a Toledo victory over EMU to move up to the fifth seed. … Buffalo may be playing for a share of the MAC title, depending on whether Akron loses at Kent State Friday. … The Bulls are guaranteed to have at least a bye to the tournament quarterfinals. … Buffalo is led by senior F Mitchell Watt, who averages 15.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game, and sophomore F Javon McCrea. who is at 15.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per contest. … The Bulls lead the MAC in scoring with 72.8 points per game and hold opponents to a league-low 38.9 percent shooting. … BG senior F Scott Thomas averages 2.5 steals per game, 12th-best among Division I players, and his 73 steals are tied for the second-most in a single season in BGSU history. He needs just one more to become the third Falcon ever with at least 200.
