TIFFIN — Seneca County commissioners Monday placed $400,000 of the county’s 2011 carryover into the capital projects fund, exclusively for enhancements to the justice system.
Commissioners voted to rescind the order of Feb. 16 that originally established a separate fund earmarked for that purpose.
According to County Administrator Stacy Wilson, a new fund would be restricted, meaning officials would have to obtain a court order to withdraw the money.
By placing the money into an account within the capital improvement fund, county officials can access the cash as needed.
