Parts of northwest Ohio can expect heavy rain on Sunday, putting some communities under a flood watch until Sunday evening.
The National Weather Service says Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Wood, and Huron counties are under a flood watch. The weather service does not give a specific time for the watch to expire.
The weather service states that a storm system moving across northern Ohio could combine with high moisture levels, potentially causing heavy rainfall with slow-moving thunderstorms. Because of the already saturated ground, flooding is possible.
