FOSTORIA — With voters’ approval of an operating levy last year for Kaubisch Memorial Public Library, library officials said they will be able to restore Friday hours.

Beginning April 20, the library will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.

The library also has been able to restore purchasing levels for new books, magazines, and DVDs that had been cut as state funding declined in recent years.

In November, voters approved a 1.5-mill, continuing operating levy that is expected to bring in nearly $249,000 a year for library operations.
