Authorities Monday night identified the woman who was pulled from the lake at Olander Park earlier in the day.

Lucas County Coroner Dr. James Patrick said the the body was that of Tijuana Linzy, 37, of 7310 Wembley Terrace West, Sylvania. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

Ms. Linzy was pronounced dead at 2:55 p.m. in Flower Hospital. Authorities did not know where she entered the water and the depth in the pond where she was found, nor did they know the water temperature.

Sylvania Police Chief William Rhodus said the body of Ms. Linzy was spotted about 20 to 30 yards offshore on the east side of Lake Olander at 2 p.m. by a citizen and a park employee. The body was recovered by the Sylvania Township Fire Department. The park was closed Monday pending the investigation.

This would be the third drowning in the 49-year history of the park, if the death is determined to be a drowning, said Gary Madrzykowski, director of the Olander Park System.
