The Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca Joint Solid Waste District will hold a residential television and small-electronics recycling collection Saturday morning at locations in each of the three counties.

Residents of the three counties, plus the cities of Bellevue and Fostoria, are allowed to drop off small electronic devices, such as video players and stereo systems; flat-panel televisions, and cell phone equipment, at no charge.

Residents will be charged to drop off cathode-ray tube televisions in order to offset the district's cost for handling by a contract recycler. The fee for televisions 24 inches and smaller will be $2; for 25-inch and larger TVs, $3, and for console units and projection televisions, $5.

Television measurement is diagonal across the screen. There is a per-person limit of two console or projection units.

Collection locations will be the Ottawa County Fairgrounds on State Rt. 163 east of Oak Harbor; the Sandusky County Fairgrounds North Parking Lot, 712 North St., Fremont, and the Seneca County Agricultural Service Center rear parking lot, 3140 S. State Rt. 100, Tiffin.

All electronics will be processed in the United States and all plastics, metals, and leaded and nonleaded glass will be recycled, officials said.
