PNC Bank said Friday that it has named William McDonnell as regional president of its Toledo market, succeeding Brian Bucher. Mr. Bucher left recently to oversee the bank’s new Northern Alabama market.

Mr. McDonnell will begin his new duties on June 4, bank officials said. He has been with Pittsburgh-based PNC Bank for 22 years, serving as senior vice president in the bank’s corporate & institutional banking business since 2004.

In his new role, Mr. McDonnell will oversee the company’s business strategy and community investments in the Toledo area, as well as lead PNC’s corporate and commercial banking activities in the region, bank officials said.
