Here is a sampling of events taking place Monday for the commemoration of the War of 1812.

Columbus

11:30 a.m.-noon, Veterans Plaza, Statehouse

Performance of the Star-Spangled Banner, local community bell choir. "Ring the Bells for 1812" at noon (all attending the ceremony are invited to bring their own bell to ring with the choir and courthouse bells)
