Turnpike lane closed after 2 semis collide

One lane of the Ohio Turnpike is closed this morning after two semis apparently collided, causing a fire, according to the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash is westbound on the turnpike, west of St. Rt. 53.

The dispatcher said that Highway Patrol, troopers, and firefighters were on scene of the crash, which was reported about 8:20 a.m.

It was not immediately clear if any injuries were reported.
