Party to close streets near Walbridge Park

Several streets will be closed Wednesday morning near Walbridge Park and the Harvard Circle fountain during a neighborhood block party, the city transportation division announced.

From 9 a.m. until noon, River Road will be closed between Sherwood and Glendale avenues, Glendale will be closed between Harvard Boulevard and Anthony Wayne Trail, and Harvard will be closed between Glendale and the Trail. Broadway will be closed in the immediate area of Harvard Circle. Access will be maintained for local traffic only.

Motorists should be alert that Sherwood also is closed between River and the Anthony Wayne Trail. Use the Trail for travel between Copland Boulevard and South Avenue.
