Part of Sherwood Ave. to be closed for 2 months
7/4/2012A reconstruction project that closed part of Sherwood Avenue Monday will take most of two months to complete, the city transportation division said.
Sherwood is closed to through traffic between Anthony Wayne Trail and River Road, with access maintained for local traffic and emergency vehicles.
The project is to end in early September, although Gene Kelly, a transportation division spokesman, said contractor E.S. Wagner intends to have most work finished before school reopens in late August.
No detour route is posted. The closest alternatives are Glendale Avenue and Copland Boulevard.
