FINDLAY -- Owens Community College has announced the upcoming start of 16-week "cohort" nighttime classes in business management and office administration at its Findlay campus for working professionals.

"Owens Community College is excited to complement our current academic offerings with new cohort programs and provide area residents with alternative ways to pursue a college education," said Mazhar Anik, chairman of the School of Business at Owens Findlay.

The business management sequence will include four-week classes in contemporary business, sociology, modern business mathematics, and computer concepts and applications.

The office administration technology substitutes document formatting for the modern business mathematics segment.

Prospective students must be working professionals at least 25 years old and must complete formal applications. Enrollment is limited. Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 10 p.m. starting Aug. 21.

Open-house events will be held at the Findlay campus on July 17 and July 24, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., in Education Center Room 111. The Findlay-area campus is at 3200 Bright Rd.
