Pedestrian is struck, killed in South Toledo

A Toledo man was pronounced dead after he was struck by a vehicle while pushing a shopping cart on Hill Avenue in South Toledo Saturday night, Toledo police reported.

Graylin Partin, 57, of 1037 E. Bancroft St. was pronounced dead at 11:12 p.m. at the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital. He was walking west in the street from McTigue Drive at 10:09 p.m. when an unknown vehicle traveling west on Hill struck him and fled, police said.
