A man was shot in the chin while at a South Toledo self-service car wash, authorities said.
Dorian Johnson, 19, had washed his car at 913 Western Ave. and was getting ready to vacuum it when, about 8:35 p.m. Saturday, a man in a gray hooded sweatshirt reached over an adjoining privacy fence and started to fire, Toledo police Sgt. William Wauford said.
Before police or a life squad arrived, Mr. Johnson's companions took him to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital in a private vehicle.
His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, Sergeant Wauford said, and he was no longer in the hospital Sunday afternoon. The police continue to investigate.
