Sewer construction to close Auburn Ave.

Sewer construction will close part of Auburn Avenue in central Toledo for about 2- 1/2 weeks, starting today, the city transportation division announced.

Auburn will be closed between North Cove Boulevard and South Cove Boulevard until Aug. 3 while a 108-inch sewer pipe is laid across its right-of-way. This will cut off use of the Auburn bridge over I-475.

Traffic will be detoured via Monroe Street and Upton and Central avenues.
