Stop signs are to be added today to convert a Monclova Township intersection on U.S. 20A to a four-way stop. A roundabout is planned there in 2015, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced Monday.

Turning the U.S. 20A intersection at Eber Road into a four-way stop is driven by a safety study showing 40 crashes there, 25 of which involved turning or intersecting vehicles, the department’s district office in Bowling Green said. Before today, only motorists on Eber had to stop.

The proposed roundabout will further reduce the risk of severe crashes by eliminating left turns and requiring traffic entering the intersection to yield to circulating vehicles, the department said.
