Volunteers to clean Blanchard River sought

FINDLAY -- The Blanchard River Watershed Partnership is seeking volunteers to help clean up the Blanchard River on Aug. 18.

Volunteers should meet on River Road west at the I-75 overpass, near the entrance to Findlay’s Water Pollution Control Center, for the cleanup, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants should wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and clothes that can get wet.

Cleaning will be done on foot along the riverbanks and from boats, which will be provided. It is not necessary to sign up in advance, but further information is available by calling 419-422-6487.
