Several public and charitable agencies will hold the latest in Toledo's series of bulky-waste and recycling collection drives Saturday morning, this time focusing on City Council District 4.

The drop-off event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at Seaway Marketplace, 1707 Cherry St., near Bancroft Street.

Recycling trucks will be on hand to accept recyclable electronic equipment, including computers and accessories. Many types of hazardous waste will be accepted, too.

Televisions, tires, paint, and large household appliances -- such as refrigerators, washing machines, and dryers -- will not be accepted.

Paula Hicks-Hudson, who represents District 4, said the collection is intended in part to discourage illegal dumping in city neighborhoods, and is open to all Toledo residents, not just those in her district.

The Toledo Department of Public Service, Goodwill Industries, and Keep Toledo-Lucas County Beautiful will sponsor the event.
