TEMPERANCE -- The Bedford Township Board has approved the establishment of a road improvement special assessment district for the Canterbury Forest subdivision. Sixty-eight percent of property owners in the 55-parcel subdivision signed a petition in favor of the road improvements. The cost of the project is estimated to be $249,745.04, or $4,540.82 a parcel.

At its meeting last week, the board also approved the appointment of Diana Collins to the library advisory board. She will serve the remainder of the term held by Paul Bourque, which ends Dec. 31, 2013.

She is a Temperance resident who works in retail sales and is a University of Toledo graduate.
