Toledo OKs tax credits to 3 firms for job creation

Toledo City Council has approved three municipal job-creation tax credits.

The Toledo Municipal Job Creation Tax Credits are equal to 40 percent of city income taxes generated by new jobs for seven years. Council unanimously approved the measure Tuesday.

The benefiting companies are:

Ilegra Corp., which is relocating from Maumee into Fifth Third Center at One Seagate Center and will create 35 jobs paying $35 an hour.

OmniSource Inc., which is expanding its operation at 5270 N. Detroit Ave. and creating 22 full-time jobs while retaining 148 jobs.

Toledo Molding & Die Inc., which is expanding operations at 1429 Coining Drive and will create 41 full-time jobs and retain 267 jobs.
