Norwalk man dies from injuries sustained in motorcycle crash

SANDUSKY — A Norwalk, Ohio man injured in a motorcycle crash last week died at a hospital today, the Ohio Highway Patrol reported.

David Moore, 57, was pronounced dead at 2:30 a.m. at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, according to the patrol’s Sandusky post.

Mr. Moore was flown to the hospital following the Aug. 22 crash on State Rt. 4 near the West Bogart Road intersection. He was driving a motorcycle south on Route 4 through the intersection about 4:40 p.m. when he tried to pass another vehicle, and lost control of his motorcycle. The driver and the motorcycle then separated when it went onto its side, troopers said.

He was not wearing a helmet, according to the patrol.

The crash occurred about two miles south of Sandusky.
