Monroe library to observe card sign-up month

September is Library Card Sign-up Month.

The Monroe County Library System is reminding people go online at mymcls.com to find out how to sign up for a free library card.

The library system also offers free replacement library cards this month if yours is worn out or lost.

"When it comes to achieving academic success, a library card provides students with access to a world of both print and electronic resources.

"Students can access free databases, online homework help, and attend programs, activities and clubs that provide an added value to the educational experience," the library district said in a statement.
