The schools will meet against Sept. 14, 2013 at Cal. ... OSU is 56-26-2 all-time against current members of the Pac-12 and 7-3 since 1997. ... Top Buckeyes cornerback Bradley Roby said he's looking forward to a "showtime" battle against Cal star Keenan Allen. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound junior receiver -- widely projected as a top-10 selection in next year's NFL Draft -- has scored touchdowns this year via catch, run and punt return and last season had 98 catches for 1,343 yards. ... OSU quarterback Braxton Miller will look to keep putting up big numbers against a Cal team that has allowed 55 points through two games -- including 31 to FCS school Southern Utah last week. Miller is fourth nationally with 302 rushing yards and leads the Big Ten with 664 yards of total offense. The key is keeping the sophomore healthy. Notes: A week after facing and defending against one of the more complex offenses in college football in a 31-25 win over Air Force, the Wolverines will host Massachusetts, a team that utilizes the more orthodox spread offense. … UMass is in its first full season as a Football Bowl Subdivision program, and is already going through struggles. In a 37-0 loss to Connecticut, UMass gained only 59 yards. In a 45-6 loss last Saturday to Indiana, UMass gave up 596 yards of offense. … Michael Cox, a running back who played at Michigan for three seasons before transferring to UMass, leads the Minutemen with 32 yards on 20 carries. UMass has 81 yards and 1 touchdown on 60 carries, and 242 yards on 30 receptions. By comparison, Michigan has 283 yards and three touchdowns on 60 carries, and 408 yards and three touchdowns on 25 receptions. … Michigan coach Brady Hoke said Michigan tight end Brandon Moore (knee) and defensive end Brennan Beyer (knee) are out this week, and that defensive lineman Richard Ash is questionable (undisclosed injury) for today's game against the Minutemen.
