The forecast for chilly overnight temperatures has prompted a frost advisory from the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-30s between 2 and 9 a.m. Monday in much of northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.

The coldest temperatures are expected around daybreak. Forecasters say rural areas will be most of the affected by the potential for frost.

The weather service says potted plants normally left outdoors should be covered or brought inside, away from the cold.

Monday temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-60s, while Monday evening’s temperature will be around 45 degrees.
