A Toledo man accused of raping and stabbing a woman at a West Toledo hotel over the weekend is to have a preliminary hearing Monday.

Duncan Stacker, 54, of 439 Wendell St., is charged with one count of rape. He was ordered held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $200,000 bond during arraignment Monday in Toledo Municipal Court.

According to a police report and court documents, Toledo police said that a 20-year-old woman reported being forced back into her room at the Crown Inn, 1727 W. Alexis Rd., at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday after she tried to leave.

Police said the man sexually assaulted the woman and stabbed her in the back with scissors or a screwdriver. The woman was taken to Toledo Hospital; police described her injuries as not life-threatening.
