A week after Kathy Sackrider was last seen -- pushing a grandchild on a swing at her daughter's Sylvania Township home -- her bright blue pickup truck was found in a Sylvania park.

Police on Thursday said they are investigating the disappearance of the 59-year-old woman, who was last seen at about 7 p.m. on Sept. 18. The truck was found Sept. 25 in Whetstone Park.

Sylvania Township police Detective Jake Albright said investigators did not find anything in the vehicle to indicate foul play, but have ruled out no possibilities.

Detective Albright and Ms. Sackrider's sister-in-law Linda Baranek said Ms. Sackrider has no documented history of dementia, memory impairment, or depression.

"We feel really helpless right now," Mrs. Baranek said. " ...We have a sinking feeling that something bad happened to her. She's not the kind of person that would just take off and not tell somebody."

Mrs. Baranek said that, when the vehicle was found by Sylvania police, officers found the woman's purse and a framed photograph of her late husband, John Sackrider, who died in April, 2010, of liver disease.

Ms. Sackrider's relatives are asking anyone who might have seen the truck -- a 2003 blue Chevrolet Silverado with a Red Wings logo on the back -- or Ms. Sackrider -- described as 5 feet, 5 inches, 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes -- to call police at 419-882-2055.
