An East Toledo man died Friday about nine hours after he was found shot multiple times in an apartment complex parking lot. Jonathan Morris, 22, of the 2200 block of Seaman Street was pronounced dead about noon at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, said Dr. Diane Barnett, a Lucas County deputy coroner.

Mr. Morris was shot as he walked from one apartment to another in Ravine Park Village, police said. The incident was thought to be a robbery, possibly orchestrated by three men. Police later said it was a confrontation with at least one person, but that several people might have fled after the shooting. The victim was found about 3 a.m. Police said Mr. Morris was shot in a leg and side and that he received a graze wound to his head. An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.
