Utility construction will close parts of two Toledo streets this week: one in Point Place, the other in South Toledo, the city transportation division announced.

Starting today, 124th Street will be closed between Summit and 302nd streets for about two weeks while a manhole is built for the new 124th Street pumping station. No detour route will be posted. Reopening is scheduled for Oct. 19.

On Tuesday, River Road will close between Sherwood Avenue and Brookford Drive for a sewer repair. Through traffic will be detoured via Sherwood, Anthony Wayne Trail, and Copland Boulevard. Reopening is scheduled for Friday.
