FREMONT — Fremont’s safety-service director has been indicted by a Sandusky County grand jury on two felony counts of theft in office.
Marc Glotzbecker, 41, is charged with stealing six Cedar Point tickets belonging to the city on June 15 and with taking $339 from the city last November, when he was Fremont’s parks and recreation director.
Mr. Glotzbecker, who was named safety-service director in March, is to be arraigned Nov. 2 before Sandusky County Common Pleas Judge John Dewey.
Mr. Glotzbecker, who also is a member of the Fremont city school board, was placed on paid administrative leave Aug. 14 after questions arose about possible misuse of city funds.
