Perrysburg Transit has expanded service to include Call-A-Ride.

Call-A-Ride will be available to all Perrysburg citizens during times when the paratransit service is not being used. It will be provided on a nonguaranteed, first-come, first-served basis during the interim period through Nov. 11.

Hours of service are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m to 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.

A 24-hour advance reservation is required; call 419-872-8430 for service within Perrysburg.

Residents who use the service will not be charged a fee, according to the city. The Call-A-Ride service is under contract for the interim period.

Perrysburg City Council contracted with Ride Right LLC of St. Louis to transport riders with disabilities within the city after Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority service ended.

Voter approval of a 1.45-mill, five-year levy on the Nov. 6 ballot would pay for the hiring of Ride Right to operate Perrysburg’s proposed transit system through the end of the year and through 2013.
