Toledo authorities Tuesday investigated two fires, one of which injured a city firefighter. Both have been ruled intentionally set. An unnamed firefighter was injured fighting a blaze at a vacant duplex at 417 Parker Ave. near Starr Avenue and East Broadway Street in East Toledo, at the 12:30 a.m. fire. He was treated at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for minor burns, Toledo fire Lt. Matthew Hertzfeld said.

Damage was estimated at $40,000. The Lucas County auditor’s Web site lists Kevin Moore as the owner of the duplex, which is listed as in foreclosure.

At 4:06 a.m. that morning, fire crews were called to the fire at a vacant house at 287 Knower St. No one was injured in that fire, which caused an estimated $12,000 damage. Deborah Oliver is listed as the owner.
