Toledo Humane Society lowers adoption fees

Toledo Area Humane Society is reducing its pet adoption fees.

Through Wednesday, adoption fees on dogs over the age of 6 months old are $75, cat and kitten fees are $50 and pocket pet fees are $10. On Tuesdays and Fridays, the “$10 Tuesday” and “$5 Friday” cat/kitten adoption fees will override the “Fall in Love” adoption price.

Then from Thursday through Oct. 31, adoption fees will fall again. All dogs over the age of 6 months will be $50, cat and kitten adoption fees will fall to $25, and all pocket pet fees will be $5.

The society is reducing prices as the end of the American Society for the Protection of Companion Animals $100K challenge draws near. The second round of voting for the challenge is under way and supporters can vote daily through Oct. 31 at VoteToSaveLives.org.The group could win $100,000 or an additional $25,000 prize if it is one of the top three vote-getters in the country.
