MONROE -- Seven children were taken to Mercy Memorial Hospital in Monroe today after the school bus they were on was hit by another vehicle, police said.
The children were taken for "precautionary evaluations," police said.
Police report that the bus was stopped at a railroad crossing at about 8:50 a.m., at West Elm Avenue and Toll Street, when it was rear-ended.
The driver of the vehicle, whose name was not released, reported minor injuries, police said.
