Members of the Lucas County Board of Elections on Tuesday accepted the early vote hours issued by Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted.

The board did not vote on the hours, but board members acknowledged the statewide uniform voting hours for the final three days before the Nov. 6 election.

Mr. Husted set the hours after the U.S. Supreme Court this month declined to block a ruling by the Cincinnati-based 6th Circuit Court of Appeals that is requiring the state to keep its doors open during the last three days before the election. The lawsuit was brought by President Obama’s re-election campaign and fellow Democrats.

The hours are: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 3 and Nov. 5, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 4.
