BOWLING GREEN — A Bowling Green native has been hired as the new director of the Wood County Historical Museum and Center.

Dana Nemeth was hired by Wood County commissioners Tuesday at an annual salary of $41,016. She replaces Christie Weininger, who resigned this summer to take a job as director of the Hayes Presidential Center in Fremont.

Ms. Nemeth, who is to start Nov. 13, is a volunteer and former collections manager at the Wood County Historical Museum. She also has served on the board of the Wood County Historical Society.

She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in popular culture from Bowling Green State University and is working on a master of library and information science with a specialization in museum studies from Kent State University.
