Lane closings in city expand to Monroe St.

Utility work that had caused lane closings on a busy stretch of Secor Road spread Thursday to Monroe Street.

Lane closings on Monroe between Secor and Sylvania Avenue for gas-line relocation are expected through Nov. 16, the city transportation division said.

The pipeline work on Secor and Monroe is linked to a reconstruction project planned in 2013 on Secor between Central Avenue and Monroe. Work has been under way on Secor north of Central for weeks and likely to continue through Nov. 21.
