Spirit rock installed at community college

Monroe County Community College’s spirit rock now sits on the south side of the campus near the entrance on North Raisinville Road.

The 8,500-pound piece of limestone was donated by Stoneco and came from the company’s Ottawa Lake quarry.

The college’s student government worked for eight months to get the spirit rock.
