Putnam Co. village gets water system grant

CONTINENTAL, Ohio — The Putnam County village of Continental is among four communities in Ohio slated to receive a total of $2 million in grants to improve their water systems.

Continental was awarded $600,000 from the Ohio Development Services Agency’s Office of Community Development to help build a wastewater treatment plant.

The project is expected to cost more than $3.1 million and is to benefit 500 local households.
