Monroe of­fi­cials urge reg­is­tra­tion for emer­gency alerts

The Mon­roe County Emer­gency Man­age­ment Divi­sion is urg­ing res­i­dents to reg­is­ter with the new county­wide emer­gency-alert sys­tem.

The sys­tem has au­to­mat­i­cally reg­is­tered land lines in the White Pages da­ta­base, but it lacks cell phone and VOIP num­bers and email ad­dresses.
