BLADE STAFF

On Saturday, Maumee is to be host to its annual Holiday Hustle 5K race and holiday light parade. The run begins at 5:15 p.m. and the parade at 6:30 p.m.

These streets will be closed to through traffic starting at 5 p.m.:

Conant Street from U.S. 24 to the Maumee-Perrysburg Bridge, Ford Street from U.S. 24 to West Wayne Street, the 100 block of West William Street, and West Wayne Street from Conant Street to Ford Street. West Wayne Street at U.S. 24 will be open to residential traffic only.

The race will be on West William, Ford, and West Wayne street, Old Trail Road, and Conant Street. Because low light conditions will prevail, motorists are asked to use extreme caution, yield to runners, and be patient. Residents in the area east of Ford Street can get to their homes from Kingsbury Street. Residents west of Ford Street should use U.S. 24 at West Wayne Street. There will be no access to the bridge from impacted residential areas.
