Monroe man injured in moped crash
11/22/2012DUNDEE, Mich. -- A moped crash critically injured a Monroe man today, authorities said.
Rodge N. Armstrong, 60, was northbound on Plank Road, south of Bigelow Road, in Dundee Township at about 8:30 a.m. when he lost control on a curve and his moped entered a ditch, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. Mr. Armstrong, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected and came to rest on the roadway's west edge.
Mr. Armstrong was taken to St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor hospital, where he was reported in critical condition. The crash remains under investigation, deputies said.
