New I-475 ramp opens at ProMedica Parkway

The eastbound I-475 entrance from ProMedica Parkway in West Toledo opened Monday afternoon, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced.

The ramp was the last of four at the new ProMedica interchange to open. It replaces an entrance from Central and Upton avenues that closed in August, 2010, at the start of the on-going I-475 project.

For now, only right turns are possible at any of the ramps, because a new bridge for ProMedica Parkway over I-475 won’t be finished until late next year, toward the $64 million freeway modernization's conclusion.
