BOWLING GREEN — City council has agreed to ask Bowling Green voters to renew a tax levy for parks and recreation.

The three-year, 1.4-mill levy currently generates $640,644 for the city parks department. It costs the owner of a home valued at $100,000 about $43 a year.

The renewal request approved this week is to appear on the May 7 primary ballot.
