Nominations sought for Jefferson Awards
12/8/2012The 2013 Toledo-area Jefferson Awards committee is accepting nominations.
The award recognizes public service, with local representatives forwarded to a national selection process. Nominees will be featured in a full-page ad in The Blade, with 13 finalists selected by a panel of judges.
The finalists will be recognized at the Jefferson Awards Ceremony and Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 21 at Parkway Place in Maumee. The event is presented by The Blade, Buckeye CableSystem, WTVG-13 ABC, and Leadership Toledo, and is sponsored by The Andersons and Waterford Bank, N.A.
Four winners will be announced at the event, and their portfolios will be sent to the National Jefferson Awards Selection committee, which will chose a local winner to represent the region at the annual Jefferson Awards Ceremony in Washington.
