Organizers of the 30th annual Christmas in Ida and Parade of Lights festival said the event set an attendance record of 52,000 visitors during its run from Nov. 30 through Dec. 2.

Dec. 1 was the biggest day with 49,000 festival-goers. The Parade of Lights that evening had 134 participants.

Brendan Dowd and Tara Peschke, representing the Ida High School National Honor Society, were crowned the 2012 Christmas in Ida Prince and Princess.

The parade’s grand prize went to the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 582 float called Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

This marks the second year in a row the group has taken the top prize.
